3D Scanning
The Documentation Services offer a 3D printing service, which is located in the Library of the University of Minho in the Campus of Azurém (Multimedia area > Lab).

Service operation:
Reservation conditions:
- The reservation of theequipment(s) - Scanner 3D, Computador de edição - must be requested in advance at
https://reservas.sdum.uminho.pt/
- Option A - Reserve the resources "Scanner 3D" and the digital edition workstation "Computador de edição digital - Piso 6 - Sala 6.2", which includes scanner-specific software and the Adobe Creative Cloud apps.
- Option B - Just reserve the resource "3D Scanner" (to use with your personal computer)*.
Reservations are made for periods of 4 consecutive hours.
The user will receive a booking confirmation email.
To use the lab, the user needs to check in at the scheduled date and time (or within 15 minutes) at https://reservas.sdum.uminho.pt/ and pick up the lab door key at the service desk (2nd floor), upon user identification.
The presence of the technical assistant is only guaranteed from 9h00 to 12h00 and from 14h00 to 17h00, if available at the time (to schedule appointment you can contact us via email multimedia@usdb.uminho.pt).
At the end of the reservation, the user must return the key at the service desk.
The use of this service implies acceptance of the following rules:
- The requisition implies the responsibility of the requester reagarding the good treatment and conservation of the installations and equipment and for eventual damages or losses, during the period of the requisition.
- The library is not responsible for any loss of data. It is the responsibility of the user to regularly save session files to external memory or to another device.
- The user may bring other necessary equipment or consumables (external CD/DVD player, memory card, etc.).
- Periodically, files that do not match the original equipment configuration will be deleted.
- The multimedia area is subject to the general Library Regulations of the University of Minho.
- Upon authorization of the author, the library can disseminate multimedia works as examples of use of the service.
