Second Floor
The reading room located on the 2nd floor, with 156 places of study and 7 cabins for individual study, is dedicated to the following subject areas: Economics, Management, Exact Sciences, Natural and Applied, Medicine and Technology. On this floor is located the Access Point to the INE (National Institute of Statistics) and the Special Collections library (BRE), which contains some of the publications of teachers, researchers and UMinho employees. BRE also includes small collections in braille format, audio and multimedia.
This floor also has a group study room with 24 seats and is equipped with 7 computer terminals (available to search in the library catalogue, online databases and other information resources), 1 photocopier and 3 scanners.
