Pen Tablets

The Documentation Services provides two pen tablet, one located in the General Library on the Gualtar Campus and anoother in the University of Minho Library on the Azurém Campus.

Equipments:

• 2 Wacom Intuos Pro M (PTH-660-S) and digital pen (stylus)
• Optional (in Azurém): Digital edition workstation

Service operation:

• This service is exclusively for users of the University of Minho's libraries and is intended for academic or research purposes.
• This service operates during the opening hours of the respective library (BPG and BGUM)
• Reservation and requisition conditions:
• The reservation of the equipment(s) must be requested in advance at https://reservas.sdum.uminho.pt/
• Option A - Reserve the "Pen tablet - Wacom Intuos Pro M" (for use with a personal computer)
• Requires installation of compatible drivers for model PTH-660 - Wacom Intuos Pro M (2017).
• Download: Windows 64-bit [.exe] | Mac [.dmg].
• Option B (only available on BPG) - Reserve the resource "Mesa digitalizadora (Wacom Intuos Pro M)" " and the "Computador de edição digital - Piso 6 - Sala 6.2 ", which includes Adobe Creative Cloud apps .
• Reservations are made for periods of 4 consecutive hours.
• The user will receive a booking confirmation email.
• To use the equipment(s), the user needs to check in at the scheduled date and time (or within 15 minutes) at https://reservas.sdum.uminho.pt/
• To pick up the equipment(s), the user must go to the service desk (main entrance) and identify himself.
• At the end of the reservation, the user must return the equipment(s) at the service desk.

The use of this service implies acceptance of the following rules:

• The requisition implies the responsibility of the requester reagarding the good treatment and conservation of the installations and equipment and for eventual damages or losses, during the period of the requisition.
• The library is not responsible for any loss of data. It is the responsibility of the user to regularly save session files to external memory or to another device.
• The user may bring other required equipment or consumables (external CD / DVD player, memory card, etc.).
• Periodically, files that do not match the original equipment configuration will be deleted.
• The multimedia area is subject to the general Library Regulations of the University of Minho.
